Mallard Cove is a new Assisted Living Campus opening in Summer 2011. Mallard Cove is a place where individuals can receive the care and support needed to live fulfilling lives.
We offer quality senior living in a comfortable and beautiful setting. With choices and dignity at the core of our service, we care for our residents in a friendly community that’s set in a serene environment.
Whether you need assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, or taking medications, or if you are simply looking for a place with less maintenance responsibilities than a private home, Mallard Cove is here for you.
Our community is just across from Little Traverse Bay on Hwy 31 in northern Michigan. A short drive from downtown Petoskey, Mallard Cove is within easy access of area shops and is readily accessible from Charlevoix, Boyne City, Harbor Springs, and Walloon Lake.
We invite you to peruse our website and learn more about the Mallard Cove community.
Mallard Cove began several years ago as an idea. When Al Beaudin was searching for a place for his aging father to stay, he wished for a home like Mallard Cove. “My father had Alzheimer’s Disease,” says Al. “We moved him to several homes, but I could never find one that I was totally comfortable with. I’m creating Mallard Cove to be the type of place I would want my father to stay.” Although Al’s father has since passed away, Al’s passion to build a quality assisted living home hasn’t faded. He’s brought his 25 years of building expertise to make certain that all the amenities at Mallard Cove will be of the highest quality, and he is state licensed as a certified nursing assistant in order to have a greater handle on the medical needs in the community.
When the campus opens this summer, Al plans to be onsite as the Active Manager on duty. He will oversee day to day operations, staff, and maintenance, to ensure that everything is up to his standard. “This is personal for me,” says Al. “I am committed to making sure that this is done right.”
